Andrew...is a 2 year old boy and I am convinced that he is going to give me heart failure one day. He likes to climb and two days ago he decided to climb onto an ottoman I have next to the fire place and in the process, he lost his balance and fell, smacking his head on the edge of the fireplace. I didn't realize he was bleeding until I had my hand on the back of his head and I pulled it away to see that he was, in fact, bleeding. Quite a bit. Panic, yelling, sobbing, and hysteria ensued. Not so much from Andrew, mostly from me. Thankfully my wonderful and level-headed neighbor Ashley was home and when I called her hyperventilating, she ran over to help me assess the damage. We agreed that since the bleeding was slowing and he seemed ok that I should take him to Urgent Care instead of the ER. There they placed one staple in my sweet baby boy's head. Good thing Shawn was there b/c I had to leave the room- I was woozy when they were just talking about it.
But he is fine and gets his staple out on Monday.
This boy...

Other Summer - Swimming lessons, Cheer Camp, and Painting.. Oh MY!
This summer the children and I have kept very busy.
Abbie had swimming lessons for the first time and I am just AMAZED at how far she has come. She went from grasping onto her teacher to swimming on her own, with no floaties.
She also attended Apalachee High School Kiddie Cheer Camp for three days in June. What a difference a year makes! Last year she was scared and did not do much. This year she participated and had a great time!
Abbie continues to love gymnastics and has graduated from Little Dipper to Big Dipper. Big time!
I have discovered that I love to paint! I have been going to Canvas by U and once to Tipsy Canvas to show off my artistic flair. There are a few places in Athens I will try soon. :)

Disney World!!
This past June I did something that I swore I would not do until Andrew was 4 - take my monkeys to Disney World!
Totally worth every penny and minute.
Andrew was still a little young and scared of most rides (except Small World. Loved that one) but he L.O.V.E.D meeting all of his favorite Disney characters. His two favorites are Donald Duck ("Da' Duck") and Special Agent Oso (he's a unique stuffed bear, you know). He was a real trooper though and hung in there with the big kids. Except for the fire works. Found out that Andrew doesn't like fireworks. Or the Electric Light Parade. But all else was good.
Abbie was in absolute heaven. She met princesses, rode the Tea Cups and Dumbo like a million times, and while hesitant of characters in costumes, loved seeing her favorites. She even rode her first roller coaster - Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. She said she liked it but it was just too fast.
Shawn and I had a blast. We have not been since our first anniversary. Even though we were not able to ride Rockin' Roller Coaster (our favorite) the trip was very exciting!
Abbie has informed us that we will be going back when she is 6.
Hi Friends!
I see it has been...quite a while since I have been on. I know that I have said this before but I am going to be better about updating!!
